The itinerary of the Tholos leads the visitor to typical small rural constructions known as “cubburi” or “casotti”. They’re built with concentric rows of stones closed at the top by a pseudo-cupola, a structure similar to that of the Minoan-Mycenaean tholos. There are about a hundred of them, scattered between the towns of Raccuja, Floresta, San Piero Patti and Montalbano Elicona. Those located in the territory of San Piero Patti are in the Taffuri and Polverello areas, not far from the provincial road 122.
